Introduction to Prachin Buri Travel Guide
Prachin Buri is a province in Thailand’s east. Nakhon Ratchasima, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, and Nakhon Nayok are neighboring provinces.
The province dates back to the Dvaravati and Lopburi periods, as shown by archaeological relics in the area. These ancient cities are rich in archaeological remains, antiquities, Buddha images, and tools. Later in the Ayutthaya period, the development center was relocated to the bank of the Bang Pakong River. Muang Prachin became a province of Thailand with the breakup of Monthon during the reign of King Rama VI of Bangkok.
Prachin Buri province is well known for housing the Khao Yai, Thap Lan, and Pang Sida National Parks, which together encompass over 3,000 square kilometers of land, making it Thailand’s biggest protected area. Rice fields cover much of the rest of Prachin Buri province. There are a variety of outdoor activities to do in Prachin Buri, a region that isn’t overwhelmed with visitors and hence includes gorgeous natural attractions such as waterfalls and river rapids that may be tranquil or thrilling depending on the season and selected activity.
